Swiss Chard

Swiss Chard with Olives and Pine-nuts

  • 1 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 onion
  • 1 bunch of  Swiss Chard
  • 16-20 olives, black, pitted
  • 2 Tbs toasted pine-nuts


Wash chard, separate leaves from the stems and then cut the leaves into large pieces.  Warm olive oil in the pan, cook onion for a few minutes.  Add the stems, cook for several minutes, add the leaves.  Add garlic, olives and pine-nuts.  Serve over brown rice or quinoa.
